Urologist visit….

I went to see my urologist yesterday.... my three month visit - PSA and Testosterone results.

The doc was pleasantly surprised at the results....  My PSA level was down to 0.3 from 0.4 last time....  It had climbed a little the last two visits… and this time it went down.... My testosterone level was up slightly - but holding pretty much at the same level.... slightly below normal.  It was great to hear that the PSA’s were down....even a little....  since I have been off of treatment for 9 months now, we were all pleased with that news.

We talked about a number of things - including why my “hot flashes” have increased in intensity and frequency.... It may just my body adjusting to this new hormone flowing through my body after not having any for the past few years.... We talked about a lot of things.... and as usual set up my next blood work and appointment for 3 months.....  My choice.... he would be fine with longer, but I’m not.

So, things are looking really good for now.... hopefully the trend will continue for a long time to come!!

Oncologist visit…..

Cindy and I made the 2 hour trek to Calgary today to visit the oncologist.... My yearly appointment.

It went as well as my visit last year....  a long wait for not much information....  He did have my recent blood work results.... but he didn’t have the previous one and the ones before that he had trouble finding....  but I keep track of them so I gave him the rundown on my last 4 PSA tests....  I asked him about a few things and got stock answers..... I had to remind him of a few other things....  all in all it was a day of shopping in Calgary.  But I get to go back again next year....  For now we will hold of on celebrating until I see my urologist on Wednesday.....
