Pics from Typically Canadian Ride

Just thought I would post a couple of pictures from my short ride and GREAT visit with the Typically Canadian Group last Thursday....

While waiting at Canada Olympic Park for the escort vehicle we had time to visit and took some group photos.
(L to R) Evan Braatz, Alex Gray, John , Andrew Hopkins, Kyle Braatz and Steve Coleman by the Typically Canadian support vehicle.

Here is a shot of us riding down 16th Ave (Hwy #1) in Calgary....  Thankfully we had an escort from Calgary Fire.

Until next time....

Thanks TCG!!

I want to thank the Typically Canadian Group for making me a Yellow Jersey Honouree and for the great time I had riding and visiting with you all.  It was a pleasure to meet everyone and to hear about your experiences through BC and into AB.

Kyle, Andrew, Steve, Alex, Al, Evan and Nicole....  I am proud to say I have 7 great new friends.  Good luck with the rest of your ride!

Pics to come.

Until next time....

Goin For a Bike Ride…..

Time has gone by way too fast....  It’s already the middle of May and I’ve only been out for ONE bike ride....  and worse, I am planning on riding with 4 guys who are young and in great shape....  thankfully it will only be a short distance - I think....  it doesn’t matter - I’m ready.... or will pretend I’m ready and will really hurt on Friday!!  LOL

I am heading up to Calgary, AB to meet up with the Typically Canadian Group.  They are currently a day ahead of schedule and will be arriving in Calgary Thursday afternoon.  They have an event set up for around 3 PM at the #4 Fire Hall and will be honouring me as a Yellow Jersey Honouree at that time.

I was in touch with Kyle Braatz a few times before the group left on their journey.  It was great talking to him and hearing about their plans.... I’ve been following them along on their trip by visiting their web site, reading their blog and watching their progress through their real time route tracker.  It’s pretty cool to follow their progress with the tracker - Seeing where they are on the map as they move along.

Now, after numerous emails and a couple of phone calls, I actually get to meet him and the rest of the TC Group.  I can’t wait!!

Until next time....
